AZ Department of Revenue Sent Incorrect Forms 1099-G
The Arizona Department of Revenue announced that 2016 1099-G forms sent to taxpayers contain erroneous information.
The erroneous forms incorrectly list refunds from the 2014 tax year, received in 2015, instead of refunds received in 2016. Department officials will send corrected forms 1099-G.
The 1099-G serves as a confirmation of the previous year’s state tax refund. Arizonans can file their federal and state returns without receipt of the corrected 1099-G since the information is typically listed on the prior year’s return.
